~~a Call To All Farmers All Farmers Unite Please~~
ok im trying to put it all togather and figure out whats going on
and how to get around it all to get the most out of farming drops and loot
please add to the thread so we can all reap the harvest we diserve
i incource u to run test and respond as well
List Of Farming Spots
1)Angry Rock Griffs
2)Angry Rock Hydras
3)Drok Trolls
4)portsledge Grawl
5)Fishermans Drakes
6)beetletun Eittins
7)River Side Giants
8)elona reach drakes
The Anti code of farming
we all know of the AOE nerf most good spells have been nerfed
there also some kind of triggers or somthing that prevent good drops
and loot dosnt toatly stop it but it dose narrow it down a lot
i have yet to figure away around all the in and outs but hopefully some of u can help with that
another issue is time ...time is everything it shouldnt take u more then 5-10 max to do a farming run allthough since the patchs and anti code
that can be a lil tricky to pull off at times with out going 2 man
used to be u could drop both sets of griffs in 2 min but we all know that trick dont work no more
some ideals
1) do zones trigger anti code?
2) rotation of farming spots dose it help improve drops and loot?
3) we can farm Ecto,Shards,Ids,greens, gold, runes, the ? that keeps coming up where in the world is best place to farm for gold weapons
or purpple weapons
4) dose how many times u do a run effect things and if so how many times?
please add to this thread ty everyone the responds

With griffons and minotaurs I get 4k a run everytime, I just solo all the griffons and minos in prophets path (about 8-10 minutes) then the minos at beginning of elona mission (1 minute). I make 3-4k per hydra run. Droks trolls never drop anything good anymore. Port sledge grawl have never dropped anything good for me. All the drakes in kryta have bad drops. I don't worry about the ettin run so I can't comment on that. Why even farm riverside giants? I still get about 2-3k per run from sand drakes. I suggest to farm in different locations all the time to keep the drops good. For griffs/minos I do 3-5 runs of just the griffs/minos in prophets and elona, then for 1 run I also solo hydras. I still havent gotten anything worth while in snake dance either. If I am going for golds then I usually solo Iron Mines mission because most people get the infusion run and thats it. The gold drop rate is highest there from my experience. I have started to do 2 man runs with my warrior in UW, and the solo FoW spider run. Those 2 areas are the best for quick money. If you want a lot of money quick I would suggest the FoW spider run. I solo many places and have found that drops got nerfed pretty much everywhere. I still solo forest minos hoping to get a max damage sickle. I solo the forest minos in the black curtain, then kessex peak, then back out to the black curtain, then into the talmark widerness and get about 4-5k a run (20-30 minutes). Every say I attemp to solo 1 more area/mission in hopes of finding a good run and still havent found a spot im happy with.

Rubys and Sapphires can drop anywhere but the most common place is the Fissure of Woe.

Fiery Dragon Swords drop in the desert with the griffons most times. But,the reason the drops have been less than stellar are b/c of the treasure chests. Keep keys for the area you farm. Best stuff you'll usually get now comes out of a chest.

i've heard a lot that the more experience u have, the less gold items drop for u in normal parts of the game (eg. not UW or FoW)
dont know if its true but it seems to work that way for me.

FYI the chest drops are getting crappy too. 4 runs last night and only got 3 blues and 1 non max gold sword -10 armor while attacking of pruning or some crappy thing like that.
It really pisses me off that they nerfed farming. I don't sell money or items on ebay. I don't spam "100k any server instant delivery 24/7" ANY money or items I farm stay in game and I ussually spend it at merchants ie droks or just give to friends and guild mates. Its the FN ebay PR*CKS, and the sweat shop farming thats ruining it. I read an article yesterday and anet basically says they are not antifarming for the average joe farmer. While Im average joe and I see the SH*T drops. PS I currently have like 5k in storage and Ill spend that tonight.
Just me 2 cents

I farm griffins outside augruy and it seems I get 2 bad runs and then a good run. I depends on the spawns. If I see 4 or 5 groups of griffins to the south its going to be a good run with a couple gold and a lot of purple. If there are 2-3 groups to the south I will get some blues and maybe some cheap dyes. As for the chests go I only use them If I get a key drop. Ive tried running ettins for the Superiors but the average return is like on minor rune So I dont find it very worthwhile. Im going to stick to my griffons

Well,an anti farming stance would be impossible for ANet to take, since it would make it impossible to get the good weapons. The bad thing they have done is made it more difficult to farm for the average joe. They tried to make it hard for the sweat shop farmers, but only wrecked it for the average joe. Just like our real gov't does when giving a tax break. The break works great for the rich and ends up hurting the poor and the struggling.Patience is the average joe's only hope.

I don't think I've ever gotten a great drop from a chest. I'll never buy a key again. If I get one as a drop, then yeah, I'll use it of course. I've been Griff farming mostly lately. So far I've been pretty lucky and only had a couple crappy runs (no pun intended).
I don't know how they can nerf the pro farmers without affecting the average joes like us. Is there some mystical code out there that says, "Hey, this guy's a pro. Nerf his drops." I can see if them being able to work out the logic for repetitive runs, but I'll go 2-3 times, or more, in a row if the farming is good.
Come Anet. Don't keep the little guy down!

Yeah.. got three wands in a row in the FoW from chests. That was WRONG!
I've wondered about the >XP = <drops but I don't think it's true. One odd thing is that once in awhile I'll get more purples and golds than I can carry. It wouldn't surprise me if your characters (or account) have a "number of critter x slain" count.
It seems like I see the purple rain more often when I go to a whole new area to explore and bump into critters I've never killed before.

If you ever need a shadow staff open chest in FoW. But that is still where I get my best farming done. Everyonce in a while you get a really good item. And the obs. chards are nice too.

I've been farming the area outside Gates of Kryta... making about 1-2k per run through against those mergoyals. Whats the skills you guys are using for W/Mo against those hydra and griffins? I can withstand the hydras alright and bring balanced stance. I use a sword, any suggestions?

Well just for the record (as if everyone didnt already know) Warriors are the most versatile farmers, hands down. Any class can farm, with the right amount of time and effort. However, the easist cookie cutter builds come directly or indirectly from warriors. If you look, almost anywhere can be farmed. Its just the best places.. well ill keep mine a secret, but basically that list covers most of them. Just for the record, please stop saying they "Stopped good drops" because they didnt, they just lowered the rate at which golds, greens, and rare items drop.
